Making The Most Of Your Benefits
January 18, 2016
Now that the holidays are over and we’re getting into the swing of 2016, it’s common for people to want to save up their benefits. This isn’t always a bad idea—no one can predict the future and you don’t know if there’s an injury or a lot of stress in your future (though hopefully not!). In that case, it might be a good idea not use them up too fast.
For the most part, however, it’s easy to save them up all year round, get to December again and realize you need to use them up. Finding out what kind of plan you’re on and what kind of coverage you have per massage can help spread them out, which will help you manage stress on a regular basis, as well prevent injuries in the future.
Once you’ve set out a baseline of how regularly you’re able to receive treatments, booking in advance can also help secure the days and times that work best for your schedule. Another way to make the most of your benefits is to ask your therapist for stretches or exercises that can help with whatever complaint you may have. RMTs are a great help during a treatment, but you can use their knowledge to your benefit by getting and doing self care at home that can help stretch out the relief, thus making the time between treatments much more pleasant.
We always love seeing you at the end of the year, but getting in regular visits can be the change that will make the difference.
