Relay For Life

Chair massage      Awhile ago I was asked by a member of the Cancer Society to participate in their Relay for Life walkathon by offering free 5min chair massages to the participants giving up their entire Saturday night to raise money for cancer. Of course, I accepted and after asking my room share partner Elizabeth Piper-MacDonald to join, we were quickly a team of two. You can find more information about Elizabeth on her website below.

My Saturday nights tend to be precious to me, but I have no regrets about giving up that time to offer chair massages. Not only did we all have a blast, it was for a great cause and I was more than happy to help those giving up even more of their time for such a great cause.
Five minutes may not seem like much when it comes to getting a massage, but you’d be surprised by how relaxing even that small amount of time can be, and how much tension can be released in just a few minutes. Of course, I’m a big fan of giving and getting longer treatments, but a quick chair massage is good in a pinch and was a great way to give back to more people.
If you ever have need for a massage therapist to offer quick chair massages for an event, or if you’re looking to hire an RMT for a corporate event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can work out the details!
